First Hose has been appointed the Scottish distributor for US manufacturer SSP Inc. for its range of instrumentation stainless steel tube fittings and valves. Founded in Cleveland, Ohio, USA in 1926 as a contract manufacturer of screw machine products, SSP has grown to become a worldwide leader in the production of instrumentation fittings and valves with leading brand names such as Duolok, Unilok, Griplok, Trufit fittings and Flolok valves.

The Duolok twin ferrule tube fittings have been designed to be totally interchangeable with the Swagelok brand of tube fittings. SSP will guarantee the performance of intermixed components between the Duolok/Swagelok components provided they are assembled as per the published installation instructions.

First Hose has already committed to stocking over £100,000 of SSP stock in the first year of the relationship.
